In 2011, Fukushima Prefecture experienced an unprecedented year of major disasters.
One was the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, and the other was the Niigata–Fukushima Heavy Rain Disaster that occurred in late July.
Now, ten years after the disaster, we look back on the situation at the time, reflect on the process of recovery, and pass on lessons of preparedness and awareness for future disasters to the next generation.
