A group of local volunteers in Kaneyama Town is producing a short movie to celebrate the full reopening of the Tadami Line, supported by the Fukushima Prefecture Regional Creation Comprehensive Support Grant. We are pleased to introduce their project here.
In Kaneyama Town, which has the highest number of stations (seven) on the Fukushima side of the line, a short movie project has been launched with the hope that many people will discover the charms of the Tadami Line and its riverside towns following the full reopening.
The production project features experienced filmmakers (directors and cameramen) who moved to Kaneyama Town after being captivated by its beauty. Additionally, Mr. Yasuo Nakanishi (Music Producer at Nichion Inc. and eldest son of the late Rei Nakanishi), who has strong ties to Kaneyama Town, will be in charge of composing the theme song.
The cast has been decided! Starring as the protagonist is Shodai Fukuyama (Tristone), a rising young actor known for his roles in the movie "Alivehoon" and "THE BREAKTHROUGH FILE (NTV)." The heroine will be played by Karin Ono (ALPHA AGENCY), a talented actress recognized for her role as Kinu-chan in the NHK morning drama "Come Come Everybody."
Filming and production will take place in Kaneyama Town this summer, aiming for a release to coincide with the full reopening of the line on October 1st. The entire town, along with neighboring municipalities along the line, is working together to promote the charms of the Tadami Line following its full reopening. 【Synopsis】 Taishi Kawaguchi, born and raised in Kaneyama Town, works as a multi-worker for the Oku-Aizu Kaneyama Fukugyo Cooperative, serving as a boatman for the local "Mugen-kyo Ferry." One day, Taishi—an avid fan of the Tadami Line—boards a train from Koide Station and has a fateful encounter with a woman named Karen Nishiyama. As the scenery unfolds before them, a "heart of destiny" appears in the landscape. On their journey toward Aizu-Wakamatsu Station, surrounded by the beautiful views along the Tadami Line, the threads of their fate gradually intertwine and connect.
