  Michi-no-Eki Irihirose

  This roadside station offers an abundance of fresh produce, from wild mountain vegetables in spring and summer vegetables to mushrooms in autumn. Local specialties such as Goppō Soba and Sōgorō onigiri, made with Uonuma-grown Koshihikari rice cooked in a traditional nukagama pot, are especially delicious. Nearby is Kagamigaike Pond, known for its legend of a goddess, where the surrounding scenery is reflected on the water’s surface like a mirror.
