    Uonogawa Sakura Embankment

    A pleasant tree-lined path along the Uonogawa River, stretching for about 2 kilometers and beautifully maintained, where approximately 280 cherry trees burst into bloom each spring. In the distance, the Echigo Sanzan mountain range can be seen, and as you stroll along, the gentle sound of the river creates a soothing, relaxing atmosphere.

    Koide Park

    A park where seasonal flowers can be enjoyed throughout the year—cherry blossoms and katakuri (dogtooth violets) in spring, and cosmos flowers in autumn. It offers a wide range of activities year-round, including tree climbing, Nordic walking, nature experiences, and winter sports. The park also boasts excellent views, overlooking the city area and, in the distance, the Echigo Sanzan mountain range.

    Aoshima Onsen – Miharashi no Yu Komami

    It is a day-use hot spring located next to Koide Park and Koide Ski Resort. From the large public bath, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Echigo Sanzan mountain range. With its spacious and relaxing interior, it is an ideal place to unwind at a leisurely pace. The facility also hosts events and hands-on soba noodle–making experiences.

  • Saifuku-ji Temple (Kaizandō Hall)

    Saifuku-ji Temple (Kaizandō Hall)

    A historic temple founded in 1534 during the late Muromachi period. The Kaisandō Hall is richly adorned with an extraordinary collection of sculptures, paintings, and plasterwork created by Ishikawa Unchō, a master artisan of the late Edo period. In addition to Saifuku-ji Temple, Ishikawa Unchō’s works can also be seen at Eirin-ji Temple. Guided tours can be arranged through the Uonuma City Tourism Association.
