To commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the Tadami Line's full reopening, a mural has been completed at Aizu-Shiozawa Station. It was painted by Rumi Yoshida, the artist responsible for the paintings of the character Ami in the film "18×2 Beyond Youthful Days."
The title is "The Scenery of Tadami Town as Seen by Ami."

The mural at Aizu-Shiozawa Station in Tadami Town, Fukushima Prefecture, is now complete. This project was inspired by my role as the artist for the drawings of Ami (played by Kaya Kiyohara) in the Japan-Taiwan co-production film "18×2 Beyond Youthful Days," released this May. It all began when a sweet young girl from Tadami, who saw the movie, suggested, "I want you to paint in Ami's hometown, Tadami, too." Her voice moved the local community, and things progressed so smoothly that it felt as if it were meant to be. Despite unexpected heavy rain that delayed the start and using every bit of the backup schedule, I was able to complete the work. I am deeply grateful to the Mayor of Tadami and the townspeople for their warm support, the staff at Tadamiso for the delicious meals every day, and the residents of the Shiozawa district for their kind welcome. Thanks to all of you, I could focus entirely on my painting. Thank you so much; I am truly full of gratitude. I am delighted that the mural could be completed just in time for the second anniversary on October 1st, celebrating the full reopening of the Tadami Line after its long suspension. As a painter, this has been a truly rare and wonderful experience for me. I hope this mural brings joy not only to the local residents but also to fans of the movie "18×2 Beyond Youthful Days" and the Tadami Line. Your many messages of support meant so much to me.
