Regarding the Nomination for the 15th Location Japan Awards
We are pleased to announce that Tadami Town’s support project for the film “18×2 Beyond Youthful Days” has been recognized and nominated for the 15th Location Japan Awards.
The Location Japan Awards evaluate nominated works based on four criteria—level of support, degree of filming support, tourism impact, and regional transformation—and are presented to the “Production × Region” that has most energized the community and inspired people to take action.
Tadami Town’s various initiatives—such as creating filming location maps, signage, and original merchandise; organizing a time capsule project with Tadami High School students to be opened 18 years later; hosting the “18×2 Youth Essay Contest”; arranging filming location tours; producing a wall painting at Aizu-Shiozawa Station; planning film screenings; and many other efforts—have been recognized and led to this nomination.
Further screening will take place, and the winning productions and regions will be announced in Tokyo on February 20, 2025.
In addition, the regions nominated alongside Tadami Town for this production are Aizuwakamatsu City and Fukushima Prefecture.
