Many people are supporting the Tadami Line through song, including Yoshimi Iwasaki, Seiji Rokkaku, and Suzuka Otake.

This is a special cross-genre collaboration video featuring TATSUYA, a human beatboxer based in Koriyama City who performs both in Japan and internationally; Rin, a flamenco guitarist from Iwaki City with a wide-ranging musical style; and Suzuka Otake, a singer-songwriter from Tadami Town who also created a support song for the Tadami Line.
The video is styled like a music video, combining footage from a live music performance held in October 2023 at the former Kuimaru Elementary School in Showa Village with beautiful scenery from the Tadami Line and the wider Oku-Aizu region.
As part of the Fukushima Prefectural Cultural and Arts Collaboration Program, “JAPAN LIVE YELL project in Fukushima,” this work was produced not only by musicians but also by video directors and camera operators who all have strong ties to Fukushima Prefecture.

The first song, titled “MUGENKYO,” tells a story centered on “the hometown scenery we never want to lose” and “the desire to protect one’s hometown.” Set against the mystical river mist, the lyrics overlap the image of a lost lover with the line “If my wish could come true, I want to see you once more.” The song expresses the inner strength of a single protagonist and a heartfelt determination to continue protecting their hometown.
The second song, “Green Train,” was released as a support song for the Tadami Line’s full reopening on October 1, 2022. It portrays a young girl journeying toward her dreams alongside the train, capturing perseverance, the courage to rise again and again, and a message filled with dreams and hope.

Actor Seiji Rokkaku, who has a deep love for railways across Japan, once wrote about the current state of the Tadami Line in a weekly magazine column. This connection led to his relationship with Tadami Town and the Tadami Line, inspiring him to write and compose “Song of the Tadami Line,” which was released in 2017.
The song is filled with Rokkaku’s heartfelt wish for as many people as possible to ride the Tadami Line and experience the warmth of the local people and the natural scenery often described as “Japan’s original landscape.”
The CD is available at the Tadami Town Information Center and through on-board sales on regular trains (available on certain sections on weekends and public holidays).
She made her debut in August 2019 with the song “Tadami Line,” themed around the JR Tadami Line that connects Niigata and Fukushima Prefectures.
The lyrics were written by Satoru Oshima and the music composed by Chuichi Asai, both from Uonuma City. The song paints vivid images seen from the train window, with lines such as “thick morning mist,” “the clear-flowing Tadami River,” and “placing dreams beneath the moon over the castle.”
In the song’s narrative, the Tadami Line departs from Koide in Uonuma City in spring, pays a visit to Kokuzō-sama in Yanaizu, and arrives in Aizuwakamatsu in autumn. With its richly evocative lyrics, the song makes listeners want to hop on the Tadami Line themselves.
Since her debut, she has spoken of her dream to make the Tadami Line profitable and filled with passengers. She continues to support the Tadami Line so that it will be enjoyed by people for many years to come.
