Part 1: Connectivity Along the Tadami Line
Searching online via smartphone has become essential for travel these days. However, among the nature rich areas of Oku Aizu, there are moments when cell reception can be poor.
For times like these, it’s helpful to know in advance how to ensure a stable connection in certain places. For example, at the Showa no Mori Campground, reception can be weak due to the natural environment, but wifi is available within the facilities for 200 yen per 10 minutes.
Some hotels, inns, and public places like museums offer free wifi as well. Another option is to download any necessary info to your phone beforehand so that you can access it offline when needed.
It’s always better to be prepared, so be sure to check up on connectivity at the places you’re headed in advance to enjoy a smooth trip.
