On October 1, 2022, the section between Aizu-Kawaguchi and Tadami stations resumed operations for the first time in approximately 11 years. With this, the entire line from Aizu-Wakamatsu to Koide has been reconnected by rail, marking a brand-new start.
In April 2023, the "Second Phase Tadami Line Utilization Plan" was established to promote the railway's use through a united regional effort involving Fukushima Prefecture, all municipalities in the Aizu region, Niigata Prefecture, and Uonuma City. Moving forward, we will launch various projects under this initiative.
All stakeholders are committed to working their hardest to ensure that everyone can enjoy riding the Tadami Line even more.
