What is the
Tadami Line
Supporters' Group?

Fukushima Prefecture has established the "Tadami Line Supporters Network" to support the railway, which suffered immense damage from the Great East Japan Earthquake and the Niigata-Fukushima Torrential Rain in July 2011. We are currently seeking members to join us in supporting the line. Let’s spread the word across the country and expand our circle of support for the Tadami Line!

Membership Eligibility

  • Individual Member

    2,000 yen or more

  • Corporate Member

    10,000 yen or more

Individuals, corporations, and organizations that support the "Tadami Line Supporters Declaration" and are willing to donate to the Fukushima Prefecture Tadami Line Recovery and Revitalization Fund.

＊There is no annual membership fee.

Use of Donations The donations received will be used to promote the utilization of the Tadami Line and to support its restoration and recovery.

Tadami Line Supporters Declaration

As a member of the Tadami Line Supporters Network, I hereby declare the following to support the early restoration of the entire JR Tadami Line.

  1. 1　We want to share with everyone nationwide that the Tadami Line—linking Fukushima, Niigata, and the Tokyo area—is a Japanese treasure blessed with stunning scenery, including autumn foliage and snowy landscapes.
  2. 2　I will make a conscious effort to actively use the Tadami Line and support the restoration of the entire line as early as possible.
  3. 3　We will work in cooperation with fellow members and widely call for support from people across the country.

KIHA E120 Paper Craft Kit

New members of the Tadami Line Supporters Network will receive a complimentary paper craft kit as a gift.

Toin Gakuen Railway Research Club (Yokohama, Kanagawa) has produced a paper craft kit of the Kiha E120 train that runs on the Tadami Line. With the concept of being "enjoyable for small children, yet impressive for railway enthusiasts," it comes in a set of two types: for beginners and advanced users. They can also be enjoyed as "running trains" by placing them over toys like Plarail.

① Submission of Membership Application (By Mail or Online)

② Requesting a Payment Slip (By Mail)

A payment slip will be mailed to those who have applied for membership.

③ Payment of Donations (You can make your donation using any of the following methods: A, B, or C)

A　Please make your payment at your local post office (Japan Post Bank) using the enclosed payment slip.
・If you use the payment slip sent by the prefectural government, no transfer fee will be charged.
・Please note that starting January 17, 2022, a handling fee of 110 yen is required for cash payments only. Click here for details

B　Payment via Fukurum Card
・Starting March 1, 2022, cardholders can now make donations through a simple process.
・A portion of the spending on the Fukurum Card is used to support students working to combat harmful rumors and restore Fukushima's reputation.

C　Payment via the "Furusato Choice" website
・We accept donations through various methods, including credit cards and electronic payment services.

④ Mailing of Donation Receipts

Your membership will be finalized once your payment is confirmed. Following confirmation, we will mail you your receipt and other membership materials.

【Tax Deductibility of Donations】When you donate to a local government, the portion of your contribution exceeding 2,000 yen is deductible from your income tax and the individual inhabitant tax of your municipality, up to a certain limit. ＊(For corporations, the donation can be recorded as a deductible expense to receive a corporate tax deduction.)

This Tadami Line support song was written and composed by Ryoka Otake, a singer-songwriter from Tadami Town.
During her high school years, Ms. Otake used the Tadami Line to travel to music venues for her performances. For her, the railway became a cherished lifeline that connected her to her dreams and hopes.
The lyrics are filled with her deep affection for the Tadami Line and her hometown. By drawing a parallel between her own journey and the railway, the song conveys a powerful message of holding onto big dreams and moving forward together.
